Hi! I am Divya Srivastava, a hand embroidery designer. I have completed my Masters in Arts from Gorakhpur.
Hand Embroidery Skills
I was very much interested in embroidery work since childhood. My mother used to do embroidery on various products like sarees, hankies, table covers, etc. I learned this art from her. Later I took a 6-month course to improve my skills. In 2013, I started a boutique to sell hand embroidery products. Now I have a team of different types of embroidery artisans who work on my designs.
Hand Embroidery Craft Process
My team is expert in doing different embroideries like kashmiri, ari work, chain stitch, zardozi, pearl embroidery, etc. We customize the products according to the customers. I use different fabrics like crepe, silk, georgette, chiffon, cotton, and the thread used is cotton, silk, zari, etc.
Although all types of embroidery are done in my boutique, my specialization is in making Kashmiri and Zardozi embroidered products.
I have 7 years of experience in this field.
In future, I want to sell my products all over India. I also want to work with big designers so that I can learn more from them.
