Hi! I am a bhujodi sarees, shawls, and stoles weaver/manufacturer. My father is also a weaver.
Bhujodi Sarees Making Skills
Handloom weaving is our ancestral art and I learned it from my father. He used to weave shawls and carpets, but after joining him we have started weaving sarees, and stoles too.
Bhujodi Sarees Making Process
I use Kala cotton which is locally found in Gujarat, soft cotton which is used in cotton mills, and sheep wool as raw materials to make my products. I have looms at my house and I weave with my family members. I sometimes employ local weavers to carry out big orders.
My expertise is in weaving products made from cotton and desi wool, in which I make sarees, shawls, and stoles.
I have 17 years of experience in this field.
Participation in Exhibitions
I have participated in various exhibitions held in various cities of India like Mumbai, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Indore, Delhi, and Gujarat.
Training Programmes Conducted
I have trained many weavers who are also working with me. I help them create different designs and patterns.
In the future, I would like to showcase my products in India as well as abroad.
